This is a great laptop for those wanting to have a large screen in a lightweight package but don't want to pay the Apple tax. This is sleek and comfortable typing machine, with a fantastic screen, good amount of RAM and storage on offer for a great price in November 2023. This is going to be great for coursework, professional development, doing some creative writing and dabbling with some light indie game titles. Plus it has great speakers, so when you want to play music at home, you can without fear of distortion. The laptop also doesn't get too hot or noisy under load, this is a U series processor, so isn't really best for heavy processor tasking, but if you are someone who has multiple tabs open when they work, with music playing and running scripting software and has to be mobile when doing so, this is a laptop you can rely to deliver the goods. The only negatives are the lack of ports, but with most things being wireless these days it isn't a problem for me, plus there is a USB port in the charging brick, so that can be used if you need an extra port, plus you can get a small dongle to extend the interfaces on the laptop.
I really loved the laptop, especially the screen resolution. Never gets stuck and the price for 12 generation is really good. And then it was a little expensive as the other laptops are giving same qualities at a much cheaper rate.

Good Points: The body is metal which is quite good and solid. Improvement Points: The battery life is not as described, the four base stand started falling off less than a month.
Great laptop based on reviews. Iโve used it for a couple of days and it definitely lives up to the hype. 256GB memory is more than enough. Good performance, sharp graphics and nice trackpad.
* Gets really hot, burns your lap * Doesn't hibernate/sleep when closing lid * Has issues with Windows Hello for Business PIN * Terrible support from Microsoft * Came with small (very minor) scratches and imperfections on the screen glass from the factory * Battery life not anywhere near what is quoted, not even 25% of the 18 hours they quote. Lucky to get 2 hours battery
It is rented by the company and is easy to use, and it is quick to get up anyway.The design was simple and I purchased it for home.Although it is a little expensive, the troublesome settings are also recommended at a minimum.
A nice machine that in itself works well, but some particular design features make me wish I had considered other machines: 1: Extra large track pad ... great, but the keyboard is further away from you when using it, I can only liken it to a bit like carrying your shopping bags at arms-length. 2: I get the impression Microsoft are driven by design, making it as thin as possible ... a bad decision! The USB port is so close to the (desk/table) surface the computer is sitting on, any USB plug with anything but the thinnest profile (example - a couple of USB Sticks I use) means the plug/stick is now on the desk surface lifting that corner of the machine off the desk, no doubt putting pressure on the plug and connection - forcing an ugly way of using a 'beautiful design' 3: A machine approaching ยฃ2,000 and there's no SD Card slot? 4: The profile of the side of the machine (where the power port is) are formed inward, therefore in anything but full light, you have to lift that side of the machine up to plug the power chord in - an ugly way of handling what is I am sure intended to be an attractive machine. Computers are meant to be working machines, not desk ornaments, so come on Microsoft, design is important, but making it the priority above how the machine is used and removing functionality (SD Slot) is backward!
