This is my second Galaxy watch. I'm not sure if there will be an upgrade at any point. The first watch battery stopped taking a charge just before I sent it in for a trade in credit. I should have stopped there but I went for the upgrade anyway. I currently have the Galaxy Watch3. The battery barely makes it through an entire day before needing to be recharged.

Okay, brass tacks here! When it comes to smartwatches, it's either this, or the Apple Watch. I've owned both and here are my thoughts. Yes - the Apple watch might be smoother and faster. There are times when the software on the Galaxy watch feels a bit janky. Apple Pay is also much more faster and more functional on the Apple Watch instead of Samsung Pay (Although I'm not saying that Samsung Pay doesn't work). However, at the end-of-the-day it's not just about hardware. It's a software experience over all. And that is where the Galaxy Watch shines. The watch faces are endless, the UI is more more better and easier to understand than Apple's, and I personally love the way that this watch looks. Not to mention, that since it uses a 22MM standard watch band, you can literally buy replacement bands from any watch store. And then there's the battery: Hands down, the best battery usage of any watch on the market - period! My apple watch only lasted until the end of the day. This one could last 3 days with one charge, and that's using all of the functionality: Normal wear, taking phone calls, responding to text, and even using the exercise functions. Oh, that's another thing too: Like the Apple watch, this watch has blood oxygen sensors, a heart rate monitor, a step counter, and exercise trackers, all which work well with Samsung's health app, that I personally think work WAY better than Apple's confusing health apps. I do not regret this change at all. Oh, one last thing: unlike Apple's products, this thing works with any Android phone, and even Apple devices too.

Beautiful but not so smart

I was excited to buy this watch, but having had it for two weeks I am disappointed by its functionality. The watch looks gorgeous, which is a huge plus for me personally. I have an IPhone so I was glad to hear that the watch is compatible with IOS, because I think the Apple Watch looks very kiddish in comparison compared to the GW3 which looks like a classy real watch. Nonetheless, the GW3 falls way behind in terms of functionality. The ECG, Oxygen (Sp)O2 and stress monitors all don't function in Canada because they have not received approval by Health Canada, while the Apple Watch has received approval for all these features (Samsung has FDA approval for these features in USA, South Korea and other countries). This means, in terms of Health tracking the only feature I could use is the Heart Rate monitor, which I have read that it's not that accurate (didn't test it myself). The BIGGEST disappointment really is the lack of the apps available on the Tizen software. Samsung advertise thousands of apps and watch-faces, but really it's a bunch of low-quality poorly-developed apps and thousands of watch-faces. When I buy a "smart" watch, I expect to have more apps that provide beneficial functionality, because I am not interested in changing watch faces everyday. There are only 10 apps developed by Samsung themselves (Water intake tracker, Calorie tracker, sleep tracker, workout tracker, stop watch, timer, reminders, weather, Spotify), while the caffeine-intake tracker (which I liked and used to track how many cigs I smoke per day lol) was removed when I updated the software. One would expect more app selection as the product matures, not less! On the positive side, the sleep tracker is accurate and very beneficial, same goes for the workout apps (a ton of workouts to select from). Spotify is a nice to have because the 8 GB allows me to download my workout playlist and leave phone at home, but one disappointment is that I cannot listen to Podcasts on the Spotify app, just music. Finally, battery life is not as advertised. If you have the watch face set to always-on (as opposed to the watch face lighting up when you raise your wrist only) with wifi always connected (as opposed to auto-connect when needed only) then you can get through one day with a full charge. Without these two features, I could go a day and a half with a full charge. Considering that I would like to use the sleep tracker and that the watch takes almost 2 hours to fully charge, that's not so great (still better than the apple watch though). I hope this helps you make an informed decision about whether or not you should buy it.

I switched from WearOS smartwatches after using it for past 4 years(Huawei Watch2) and also tried current WearOS smartwatch like Fossil gen 5 but ended up returning it because of poor display quality and no new features. Model : Samsung Galaxy Watch3 - Bluetooth 45mm Mystic Silver Price : I wanted to try out Samsung Galaxy smartwatch for last 3 years but always skipped it because i had a good working WearOS smartwatch (Huawei watch2) and also there was much feature difference in previous Galaxy watches. But with wtach3 there were new features(spo2,ECG,BP etc) and i got it for excellent price from target sale for $245 combining that with target Gift card deal the total i spent for this watch is about $210 which is an excellent price. I definitely wouldn't have brought this watch for anything above $300. Design : I like the sleek design compared to the Original Galaxy watch the watch3 is thinner and the physical rotating bezel is awesome. Physical rotating bezel was one of the reasons i wanted to try out Samsung smartwatches since Gear S2\S3, finally got it and i am loving it. Display is crisp even with brightness level 5 I can easily see it in bright sunlight with no issues. And the leather band it came with was excellent as well but I wish they provided a silicone band as well. Functionality : I like all the features I have tried out so far and I can say it is definitely much better than WearOS watch features. I able to get 2 12-14 hrs day with continuous HR monitoring and with 1 hr workout. This watch also has sleep tracking but I don’t wear my watch during sleep so it was not much use for me but it is good to have it built in. The spo2 is good but it shows incorrect values 2 out of 5 times and but if the properly instruction is followed it does measure it properly – I also have a pulse oximeter and it is much easier to use that so if you are buying it for this feature alone then don’t buy it. HR reading seems to be accurate compared to my polar H10 and as I mentioned before you can monitor it continuously. Stress level measure is also a good feature and it does it automatically in background. BP and ECG is not available for me because I am using Pixl 3XL and these feature are only available to Samsung phones, I wish Samsung soon release a software update to enable these 2 features for all users. It was disappointing to know ECG&BP not available for non-Samsung phone users and if I brought this watch for full price then I would have returned it because these features doesn’t exist. I also like the AutoDetect workout feature and it detects my continuous walk if it do it for more than 10 mins. Health App looks good but can be improved to match how some of the data shown in the watch like for example the heart sign chart with calorie burn, workout and active time should be available in app as well. Overall I like all the functionality and the watch faces it came with are excellent I am still using the default watch face it came with because it looks so much like a normal watch. Issues: 1, ECG and BP need to be enabled for non-Samsung phones 2, Some of Watchfaces Galaxy active 2 is not available in Watch3 – always give the new watch all the existing watch faces then keep new ones exclusive to the latest product 3, Notifications : It is good but can be improved, it notifies then open it for detail but doesn’t have option to quickly clear it from details display that option is under the menu. Please give clear option in detail display of notifications. Conclusion : I definitely recommend this smartwatch for anyone who wants a traditional watch look in smartwatch and able to buy it below $280, I never understand square smartwatches which looks like a mini-phone anyway.

I'm not overly impressed with the watch. I'd say the Samsung Galaxy 3 is highly overrated, and inaccurate. The step counts are wrong and so is heart rate. Samsung Pay does not work even after installing the app. Oh! it looks the part but fails in performance. I don't wish to go into detail of pros and cons just a note of caution to the next likely buyer of used smart watches.

I had a Garmin Vivoactive HR before this watch and I have to say that I'm very impressed with this watch. It has all the bells and whistles and then some! Eventhough it doesn't have some of the athletic features as the Garmin, it's still a great watch for your everyday athlete. I especially like that you can answer and make calls from your watch even with the bluetooth model, just as long as it is connected to your phone. It also has the ECG that was just added on the last update. You can also add music to the watch so that you don't have to carry your phone with you when exercising. My only complaint is that eventhough it is being marketed as a sports smartwatch, it only comes with a leather strap. Why wouldn't they include a silicone strap with the watch which is more practical during exercise? The watch is very stylish and packed with many features. You can switch it up from an elegant looking timepiece to an athletic watch by a simple changing of the wrist straps. I would recommend watching a few videos on the watch so you can discover some of the many features it has.

No smartwatch is perfect but for the price, it is a good deal. It is a shame about no Google voice. But I use an app to control my smart devices and it works 50% of the time. But the watch is solid., it glitches sometimes and is not always smooth. Battery life was horrible but then I disabled wrist wake up and I leave the always-on display on and I get 24hr. I am happy with it but then again I got it cheap. And the integration with Samsung is heaven-sent. I do not think I will leave the Samsung ecosystem. The best accessory was the metal strap by (forgot the name) that hides that ugly gap.

Bought this with high hopes. It gets one star because of how nice your support people are on the phone.worked well the first two months. However, one day it malfunctioned with flashing screen, poor battery life, and loss of function of one of the buttons no longer worked. See below photo of what happened-apparently the back housing failed and exposed the internal pieces. No worries, still under warranty, crap happens. Return process was easy. But found out, apparently this is "water damage" and not covered. It's water damage because of the failure of your crappy housing! It's not like I dumped it in water and left it there. It failed secondary to your manufacturing and now you won't even stand behind your product with the so called warranty, claiming water damage. Absolutely horrid, would never buy anything from Samsung again. I'll be switching to apple, at least they follow thru on their warranty.

Great smartwatch-upgrade from Samsung Watch Active

I had a Samsung Watch Active, which was great, but I had cracked the face so when it got wet it would get the wet drop screen saying to dry it out. It still worked fine, but I decided to upgrade. I like the Watch3 much better because it is has a raised bezel which protects the face, has SpO2,(4) VO2 max,(5) and heart-rate monitoring. I like that I can choose from tons of virtual watch faces, some of which you have to pay for. I use my watch with Strava for recording bike rides, etc. and it synchs to the app on my phone. I changed over my silicon band from my Watch Active to this watch since it comes with a leather band and I do a lot of exercising/sweating. It is super easy to switch the band if I want to switch back for formal occasions. All around very happy with this watch. A definite upgrade over my previous watch. It's also cool that it has an ECG heart monitor.

Long time Wear user here. I've had Smartwatches before Smartwatches were a thing. Remember the Sony Ericsson MBW-150? Yeah I'm dating myself now. After years of broken promises and underwhelming support, performance, and battery life, I finally made the switch to Samsung’s flagship offering. Now I go 3 days on a charge worry free, get all my notifications reliably, and I have that awesome clicky wheel thing! Styling is great, durability is excellent, and performance never skips a beat. I'd dock a star for lack of apps but really all I use this thing for is notifications and health tracking, and it does the job and then some. And unlike another popular smartwatch, this one looks and feels like a classy timepiece instead of a honey-I-shrunk-the-kids iPhone 3 strapped to my wrist. Ironic that after all this Samsung dumped Tizen and went back to Wear. But whatever this one is still serving me well.
