This is my go-to watch. I wear it every single day. The watch is very comfortable with the band that it comes with. The face size was perfect for my wrist. I like the fact that you can swap out wristbands and screen protectors. You can make the watch look totally different in a matter of minutes. The functionality is great, the screen is clear and visible, and the watch is easy to navigate. You can also change the background which is a nice feature as well. Highly recommend.

I was extremely dissapointed with how much crippleware this watch is.. Pretty much nothing works. Weather? Nope, you can't select a city to monitor and you must waste battery on 24/7 phone GPS usage or else it hides the weather data, even though it knows what city you were in. Why!? Thats useless! (and nooope, it can NOT use its own GPS... that thing is just there to look pretty on the spec sheet..) And no, there are no third-party weather apps in the galaxy store either, no one seems to want to touch tizen even with pliars and there arent any app support. :( No text messages or emails on iPhone.. (Apple's selfinflicted problem but still..) Web browser is a nightmare to navigate, it could easily be improved with basic features. You can't have it connected to the phone and use any feature that require WIFI at the same time.. it just refuses to and will not change between BT/WIFI automatically either so you have to waste time on navigating through the menus and error messages to turn off BT or WIFI respectively depending on what it is currently throwing errors about.. Every aspect of this "smartwatch" is punishing to the user, and a true crippleware experience. It's such a shame since the physical design is really great and the watch certainly has good enough performance to offer basic functionality.. If only it hadn't been completely butchered by terrible software.

Purchased Nov. 2019 directly from Samsung online. I wear it daily, but always take it off for showering, doing dishes, etc. Sometime around July this year the screen came off (was hanging on by a thin wire). Got it glued back on. It was not an issue with the battery expanding. That lasted about a month, then it came off again. Got it glued on once more. Now (Oct. 2022) the back has come off. Like the watch, but it should not be falling apart like that within just a couple of years. It basically cost me about $200/year of use. Had a different smart watch before, which was not as nice feature-wise, but it was solid; no issues at all.

Pros: - A wide range of exercises to track fairly accurately - Daily briefings are really good because they give you a weather update and a reminder of meetings or logged events - Messages are great and even include Whatsapp messages without being prompted - Calendar also incorporates email meeting alerts (if your calendar is connected to your email address) - Sleep record is pretty accurate too - Water proof: Has a water proof feature, which when deactivated, pushes out any water in the watch (pretty cool) - Easy to use, crisp and clean - Night time mode: Remove the auto face on feature when flicking your wrist so you won't blind yourself in the middle of the night or be woken to random message alerts on your phone. - A wide range of cool faces for to make your aesthetic or need for the day Cons: - HR tracker is a very basic overview. Having used other health/exercise trackers like the Huawei, this HR tracker could be better. For example, the Huawei HR tracker can visibly distinguish the exact times your HR increased or decreased, allowing you to explore what it was you were doing at the time for your HR to reach that level. - Battery: Watch needs charging every other day - Samsung pay: Not just this device but Samsung pay generally can't use Barclays or Lloyds, very annoying - Should really have a screen protector, 2 weeks in and I have very lightly scratched the screen. Doesn't affect anything but annoying nevertheless. The box it came it was a little underwhelming, I expected something to be other worldly but meh, a box. Would I recommend... mm you could probably find something cheaper but has the ease of connectivity for another Samsung device.

I love the pink gold color and the fact you have so many options to choose from to customize the watch face and different apps. I find the fitness tracker to be very reliable as well as the sleep tracker. Decent battery life, I charge it to 100% in a few hours every other day. I usually keep my phone on vibrate so I like the fact I can get notificationson my watch. It even encourages you to be active! If you havent gotten up and moved around on a while, it will let you know to get up. Definitely helps keep you on track

I have used a FitBit Blaze for a few years and figured I'd get something more technologically advanced. For the text messaging, drawing each letter is a neat feature that I don't think works well. The watch cannot tell the difference between o, O, and 0 usually, even if you try to shape them just like they'd appear. The same goes for capital i and lowercase L, which can be solved by added a small curve to the bottom of your L. There is a keyboard option for texting that LOOKS like it'd function like the old T9...but you have to hold on each digit then select the correct letter. Phone calls are clear and probably the thing I like most feature wise, although I don't think I'd ever use it since this isn't the LTE version, and I cannot use the LTE version with my carrier. The heart rate reader is not accurate. It read as 82 as I tested, and I tested immediately after and it read 95. I tested it again further down my wrist and on the inside of my wrist and it read 80. My resting heart rate is normally in the 60-70 range. As I write this, it is reading 73 which may be correct. Sleep tracking seems OK. Weather is nice to see without taking out my phone. It even shows a near-hourly for the next day, then a daily forecast for 5 days. There is a small collection of included watch faces. The app "Facer" lets you get more but many cost $2 on average. The included watch band is not breathable. My wrist gets sweaty while wearing it, and eventually irritable as it rubs against hairs. I had the same issue with my FitBit band and switched to one that resembles the Nike+ bands with holes all over. The watch faces are very clear compared to a traditional watch. The "Aqua Black" color is much more aqua than black. Overall I like this device but for the price, cannot see myself keeping it. I'll give it a try for a few more days and return it then get a cheaper alternative with similar features.

The Samsung Active 2 is a great smart watch. I recently purchased this watch as a replacement for my old FitBit Versa. I love the slim profile of the new Active 2 and there is so much functionality. I was able to quickly set up and configure the watch with all of the useful apps and functions. The email and notifications work so much nicer than my old watch. Changing the watch faces only takes seconds and there are so many to choose from, including your own photos. The Bixby assistant is something that I haven't used on my Samsung phone but after giving it a try I do find it helpful at times. I use Amazon Echo's throughout my home and have it integrated with many smart devices so I was happy to see that I could also add Alexa to my Active 2. The speaker on the watch is plenty loud enough and you can add your music directly to the watch. The fitness tracking is fairly accurate and most capabilities are comparable to the FitBit. The Samsung Health app could be a little better though. The only downside to this watch that I have found to be very disappointing is that while the Versa allowed me to leave my phone in my office while I traveled from room to room around my house, the Active 2 disconnects from my phone after moving just a short distance away from my phone. This defeats the very purpose of having the smart watch. If I always have to be within 20 feet of the phone then why bother with the watch. It's advertised to allow 800 feet but I find that it disconnects at the smallest fraction of that distance. I don't know if the Blue Tooth on my watch is defective, but this is a major issue for me. Other than that I would give this watch 5 stars, but I have to downgrade to 4 because of it.

This is less of a review of the watch in particular and more about Samsungs lackadaisical approach towards its customers. Immediately after this watch went for pre-order on Samsung.com, on and around October 8th 2019, I placed my pre-order for 44 mm LTE Gold with Ship date of November 01, 2019. We are already on 3rd of November and the item still hasn't shipped. Now I am being informed by Samsung Customer Care that these watches are on backorder. What does that even mean? If one has pre-ordered a month in advance, how can their order be back-ordered? How does pre-ordering even make sense, if they are the ones to receive it later than the rest of the World ? The customer service is hopeless, even they don't know what is happening & end up giving false assurances. Now to the watch itself. Since, I wasn't able to have my pre-order timely delivered, I chose to pick the Non-LTE aluminum 44 mm Black version. To put it mildly, when compared to my Galaxy Watch 46mm this feels like a toy watch, does not feel premium at all. And battery life is sub-par. For a 4 weeks that I owned it, the battery with various settings and configurations barely lasted more than. The touch bezel is a brilliant innovation but same cannot be said about BIXBY. Bixby is allover the place, horridly unreliable. The strap on non-LTE is fine but again very plasticky and honestly, runs thinner end-end. Wish the strap was more like Galaxy Watch 46 mm where the original strap is wide towards the lug and then tapers, this watch is even throughout but very narrow and looks even tinnier on my broad wrist. Aesthetically, Samsung has a lot of work to do to make it feel & appear like a real watch ala Galaxy Watch. All in all, the overall ordering experience to the actual feel & aesthetics of GWA2 has been completely underwhelming. If Google s acquisition of FitBit does produce something spectacular then I am more than willing to jump the board. I don't like Samsungs attitude towards its loyal customers.

My husband got me Active 40mm years ago and I was very happy with it but it suddenly died. This Active 2 40mm in black just happened to be on great special in JB-HiFi. I liked my old in silver, but the special price was only on black and silver wasn't available anyways. It was almost half the price so it wasn't a brainer. For a female smallish hand and the wrist size It looks more elegant than the latest Galaxy 4 which. Very soon I discovered the advanced features it has compared to the previous model. The biggest one was the battery life. Because my daily usage habits did not change I can say definitely the battery last much longer. Also I can do the calls now or answer the calls when they happen and when my phone is at the bottom of my bag. I dont miss the calls any more and this is not even LTE model. Now I realise now that even if my old watch did not die this would bee an upgrade worth the money. Also since this is not the latest model and it has been on the market for a while, the software was ironed up and I did not see any bugs or hiccups in functioning. Even the new features which it did not have in the days when it first came out. The only unreliable feature is the new blood pressure measurement. It is almost impossible to calibrate it but my husband has the latest Galaxy 4 classic and that one is the same. So I guess we will have to wait until Samsung fix this in the future update. But all the other features that I am using regularly, they work perfect. So far very happy with this new watch. If I would loose it or destroy it by accident, I would buy it again without thinking twice. Even for the full price. I like it allot.

I wear mine every single day! I absolutely love it! I love how you can change the watch faces, download more from the app store and connect your emails to the watch so you can see them as they come in. Messages has voice to text which is so handy when you cant physically type messages, you can make calls from your phone (and receive them) and connect it to your health app. I use this every time we go for a massive ride and it monitors your vitals- from heat rate to kms you ride.. this is one of my favorite functions. You can hear the app give you an update as you are riding! Love text messages coming through, notifications from Instagram and Facebook, and that you can change the watch bands. This was one of my more expensive purchases, and as someone who never wore a watch before, I'm hooked!! I highly recommend these watches to anyone who wants to access so much of their phone on your watch face.. absolutely wonderful purchase! You can mute, unmute, listen to music, talk on speaker... everything you want in a smart watch, you get with this!
