The POCO F9 Ultra 5G is a flagship-performance smartphone designed for users who demand exceptional speed, smooth gaming, advanced photography, immersive visuals and long-lasting battery life. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, the F9 Ultra combines high-end processing power with the dedicated VisionBoost D8 chipset, ultra-fast memory and storage, and an advanced cooling system for sustained performance.
Flagship Performance with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
At the heart of the POCO F9 Ultra is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, built on TSMC's 3nm N3P process. Its third-generation Oryon architecture and peak clock speed of up to 4.6GHz are designed to deliver powerful performance for demanding applications, intensive multitasking and high-end gaming. The phone also features LPDDR5X 9600Mbps RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for fast app loading and responsive everyday use.
The dedicated VisionBoost D8 chipset works alongside the main processor to enhance graphics quality and support advanced frame interpolation. With up to 185FPS smart frame-rate technology, compatible games can benefit from smoother motion and a more fluid visual experience.
Advanced Gaming Experience
The POCO F9 Ultra is engineered with gaming in mind. Its POCO 3D IceLoop cooling system uses a large 6300mm² liquid heat-pipe area together with an extensive 17820mm² graphite coverage area to help manage heat during demanding workloads. This allows the smartphone to maintain high performance during extended gaming sessions and intensive multitasking.
The WildBoost Engine intelligently manages performance, frame rates, thermal levels and battery consumption according to different gaming scenarios. The device also supports an ultra-responsive touch system with up to 4800Hz instant touch sampling, 480Hz 10-point touch sampling and 200Hz gyroscope sampling, providing fast and precise control during gameplay.
6.9-Inch 185Hz AMOLED Display
The POCO F9 Ultra features a large 6.9-inch AMOLED display with an ultra-high 185Hz refresh rate, providing smooth scrolling, fluid animations and responsive gaming visuals. The display supports 2608 × 1200 resolution, a wide DCI-P3 colour gamut and up to 68 billion colours for detailed and vibrant visuals.
The display can reach up to 4500 nits multi-scenario peak brightness and up to 10000 nits peak brightness for HDR highlights, helping improve visibility and visual impact in bright environments.
200MP Triple Camera System
For photography, the POCO F9 Ultra features a versatile camera system built around a 200MP ultra-clear main camera with OIS. The main camera uses an f/1.68 aperture and optical image stabilisation to capture detailed images while helping reduce the effects of camera shake.
The camera setup also includes a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS and a 120mm equivalent focal length, offering 5x periscope telephoto, 10x lossless zoom, AI ultra zoom and telemacro capabilities. A 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera provides a 17mm equivalent focal length for landscapes, architecture and wider compositions.
For selfies and video calls, the phone features a 32MP front camera designed to capture clear group selfies and detailed portraits. The camera system also supports 4K live cinematography and different creative shooting modes.
Massive 8050mAh Battery
The POCO F9 Ultra comes with a large 8050mAh typical-capacity battery, giving users extended battery endurance for gaming, streaming, photography and everyday use. POCO states that the battery is designed to provide up to 2-day battery life and features long-life technology.
Charging is equally impressive with 100W wired HyperCharge and 50W wireless HyperCharge. The phone also supports reverse charging, including 27W wired reverse charging and 22.5W wireless reverse charging, allowing it to share power with compatible devices.
Sound by Bose
Audio is another highlight of the POCO F9 Ultra. The smartphone features a 2.1-channel audio system with symmetrical stereo speakers and an independent subwoofer. Sound by Bose tuning is designed to deliver deeper bass, detailed highs and a wider soundstage for games, movies and music.
Premium Design
The POCO F9 Ultra combines a minimalist design with a flat metallic camera module, micro-curved metal frame and fibreglass back panel. It is available in Dark Cherry and Black, giving the device a refined flagship appearance.
Enhanced Connectivity
The smartphone incorporates the Xiaomi Surge T1+ Tuner and seven gaming antennas to optimise Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular and GPS connectivity. POCO states improvements of up to 24% in cellular performance, 35% in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth performance, and 19% in GPS performance under its stated testing conditions.
The POCO F9 Ultra also supports Xiaomi Offline Communication, designed to provide communication capabilities in certain situations where conventional network connectivity is unavailable.
IP68 Dust and Water Resistance
The POCO F9 Ultra features an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The supplied specifications state water resistance at up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes under the specified test conditions.
